Determined to find what the noise is, finds a hole in the fence 14. Looks through and sees another eye looking back 15. Gets poked in the eye with a stick and cries out in pain 16. See two small children on the other side of the fence laughing and adding another line to their tally, now shouting 12... 12... 12... 17. Man and woman walk past each other the next day both with black eyes

I want to shoot most of it on different mornings or evenings as they're kind of the same lighting, slightly dull but the lighting isn't too dark. I will shoot over different days when I get the chance to and when my actors are free, they will be easy to get hold of. I will be able to shoot some scenes on the same day like the children and leaving his house etc.

Character Profile A man around 30+ years old, I want him to come across as a business man clearly going to work. Don't need to know a name of much about him. Two children around the age of 6, at primary school. Don't need to know names of them either as they're only going to be in one shot. A lady around the same age as the man, only a small character so no information on them needed. Casting choices My neighbour as the main character. William and a friend as the two children. A friend as the lady.

Mise - En - Scene Application Setting - Outside by the fence, possibly shots of him at home. Costume - Different outfits to show that its occurring on different days. Hair and Make up - Bruised eyes and both the man and woman. Lighting - Natural light is it is being filmed outside. Character Expression - Confusion toward the voices, pain when being poked in the eye, awkward looks between man and woman. Props - The stick he is poked with, the chalk the children write with. Sound Application There wont be much dialogue in my film, just the voices of the children really. I might add some music over the top of some sections. With the voices I think I will prerecord it and add it over the top of the scenes so I don't have to have the children there every time I'm filming. Narrative Application I want my film to have a linear narrative as I want it to be clear that he walks past the fence everyday, one after the other.

My final idea is to have a man take a new route to work everyday and walks past a house with a high fence. He starts hearing small voices saying "10... 10... 10... 10....". He just ignores it and carries on walking. Each day he keeps hearing the same thing past the same house. He tries putting headphones on the block it out but can still hear it each day. Only on the way to work though not on the way back. One morning just before he turns the corner to go past the fence a lady rushes round the corner holding her eye, clearly in pain. Once he gets to the fence he hears the voices still yet they're saying "11... 11... 11...". He tries looking over the fence to see what's behind it but can't fully see what's on the other side. He keeps walking otherwise he will be late for work. The next morning he sees the woman again but walking on the other side of the road with a black eye, awkwardly looking over at the fence. He is now determined to see what's ...

Micro Elements Mise-en-scene: I kept the hair, makeup and costume simple. Setting was also simple with it only being in a computer room. Props being the compter and the chair. Character expression and movement was something that could have been done better like when Lydia was looking confused like she didn't know what to write and when 'jenny' noticed that Lydia had vanished her expression could have been done better. Cinematography: We used the same shots as in the original film as we wanted to keep it the same. Sound: We left all our sound in apart from the establishing shot is there was people talking and I didn't want that in there. Editing: I used simple transitions as I didn't want to over complicate it.

My final film idea so far is to have a men walking to work everyday past a house with a high wooden fence and everyday he hears something saying "7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7". Its only ever in the morning. He looks confused and looks at the house. He tries going on the other side of the road he tries putting headphones on he tries leaving earlier but still hears the voices. then one day he tries looking over the fence but cant see anything and gets even more confused. The next day he looks through a small hole in the fence only to get poked in the eye with a stick. He walks off annoyed holding his eye and as he walks off he hears "8, 8, 8, 8, 8". Then a shot of the other side of the fence and theres some children giggling and add to their tally on the fence in chalk.
