Character Profile
A man around 30+ years old, I want him to come across as a business man clearly going to work. Don't need to know a name of much about him.
Two children around the age of 6, at primary school. Don't need to know names of them either as they're only going to be in one shot.
A lady around the same age as the man, only a small character so no information on them needed.
Casting choices
My neighbour as the main character.
William and a friend as the two children.
A friend as the lady.

Film Change

When planning my first film idea I found it hard to cast my characters and find the right location which was just wasting filming time and I felt as it wouldn't come out as well as I wanted it to. so after careful consideration I decided to change my film idea to something that would be easier to cast and film. I filmed a first draft over the Christmas holidays and have been playing around with the editing. My idea is a young boy wakes up and everything is going wrong like there no toilet paper left or cereal and he hasn't got any pants left. Then when he leaves the house he finds a coin on the floor and then everything starts going well for him... too well. The girl he likes texts him back, he wins a scratch card, he gets full marks on a test. The boy starts to get a bit too cocky with his luck but then as he's walking home he finds another coin and as he bends down to pick it up he doesn't notice the car coming towards him. This is my first draft of the first half...

photo stimulus

For this piece I was shown the image below and had to make something based off of it. My first thought was that she looked scared and confused but you couldn't see what she was looking at so I wanted my piece to have that idea in mind. I wanted Daniel to be casually walking then all of a sudden see something and run away, I also wanted to add the music to make it more dramatic and like there was something really scary there. My favourite part about this piece is the shot of the cat at the end as it really shows the comedic side and that he was running from something that really wasn't scary.
