February Mid Point Task

This is my February Mid-Point task, my scenario was for someone to wrap an awkward shaped present. The task itself I found easy and only took me a matter of minutes to film, the editing also didn't take me too long. I used iMovie to edit my scene rather than premier pro like my other editing tasks, I found iMovie easier to use that premier pro because I could do it on my phone and there was no glitches or loading. I was happy with my final outcome but the only thing I would change is the lighting of when I filmed it, I felt like it was slightly too dark ad dingy but over all I was pleased.

Romance Genre

One Day For my essay I have chosen the film One Day staring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, written by David Nicholls and directed by Lone Scherfig. For this piece I was shown the image below and had to make something based off of it. My first thought was that she looked scared and confused but you couldn't see what she was looking at so I wanted my piece to have that idea in mind. I wanted Daniel to be casually walking then all of a sudden see something and run away, I also wanted to add the music to make it more dramatic and like there was something really scary there. My favourite part about this piece is the shot of the cat at the end as it really shows the comedic side and that he was running from something that really wasn't scary.
